ISABELLE (now Belle)

Adopted March 28, 2025

On a cold December morning, AALOC caregivers discovered a frightened little dog who had been left in a crate by the door. She was wearing a sweater, but she was trembling and terrified. Several other sweaters were left in her crate along with her dog bed. No note was left, so we will never know her name, her story or why her owner felt that this was their only option. For over a year, Sean, one of AALOC's very dedicated volunteers, took Isabelle for walks in the neighborhood. As it sometimes happens, Sean fell in love with Isabelle and today make his commitment to her official: he adopted Belle and she will live her life with Sean, Clem and two other canine friends. Thank you Sean for your years of dedication to the animals at AALOC and to you and Clem for loving Belle.

DREA

Adopted March 23, 2025

Drea and her three siblings were brought to AALOC by a couple. They set the crate with the kittens down and ran off. The kittens were just three weeks old, barely alive, all hypothermic and malnourished. Our team was able to stabilize them and found a wonderful bottle feeding foster who truly saved these little lives.

Drea really enjoys playtime – bring out a cat twirler or a kitty toy and Drea is on it! She was adopted by Joseph and his family and will now have all the love and attention she needs as the only spoiled feline in the house. When she arrived a new pink couch awaited along with a cute 'welcome home Drea' sign. Joseph we can't thank you enough for giving Drea the home and love she deserves!

HUMPHREY BOGART

Adopted March 23, 2025

Talk about a rough start to life. Humphrey Bogart, his six littermates and his mom, were abandoned shortly after birth. Even though AALOC was at maximum capacity we couldn’t turn our back on this cat and her young family.

Bogie (as he is affectionately called) is a very handsome male buff and white siamese mix. Jennifer and her son immediately recognized that Bogie would make a perfect addtion to their two-kitty family and a great companion for their young Siamese female named Chai. And the feeling was likewise: it seemed the minute Bogie stepped into his new home he was so happy and comfortable! Thank you Jennifer for adding Humphrey Bogart to your kitty world!

FAITH

Adopted March 16, 2025

A local animal volunteer was at a South LA shelter when she saw a woman dumping a dog and her litter of two male and one female puppies. The woman said one of the puppies had tested positive for Parvo. The volunteer knew the dogs would all be euthanized immediately if given to the shelter, so she took them home. AALOC saw her Facebook asking for help and contacted the angel who saved the dogs to offer the veterinary care the dogs needed.

Fath is the mother of the litter and she definitely has a happy, wiggedly, waggedly tail now! Faith was adopted by Melody, Dennis and RJ and has a companion canine friend named Lilee. Her new life is full of dog toys, dog beds and lots of love. Thank you Dennis, Melody and RJ for giving sweet, adorable Faith a forever home!
