TINA

Adopted April 12, 2023

AALOC’s caring team trapped this strikingly beautiful Tortoiseshell female feline outside the humane center. They knew the street was no place for a cat without a home. Although Tina is quiet and a bit shy once she warms up, she is very sweet and friendly. A vet visit confirmed Tina had no medical issues and soon thereafter Tina’s luck changed when she found her forever home with Kathy and Jim. Thank you both for giving Tina a home and all your love!

MIDNIGHT

Adopted March 11, 2023

A kind and compassionate neighbor watched as a family down the block packed up their belongings and moved away. Unfortunately they forget something - five indoor house cats that were left to fend for themselves on the streets. Horrified, the good Samaritan worked tirelessly to round up the terrified and hungry cats and brought them to AALOC. Midnight was one of these cats but now has gone to a new forever home with Ceci. Thank you for taking Midnight into your heart Ceci!

Update 1.4.24 - Midnight, now named Zuko, is living the life! Ceci sent new photos and the AALOC team could not be any happier this match was made. Zuko enjoys stretching out on the bed and spending his day by the patio door waiting for someone or something to walk by. We wish you both many years together!

BOONE

Adopted February 7, 2023

This tiny eight-pound poodle/terrier mix was surrendered when his previous owner decided leaving Boone alone while she worked 12 hours a day was not the life she wanted for her beloved pet and surrendered Boone to AALOC. Well Boone definitely hit the jackpot when he was adopted by Jane and Greg. This is the second dog Jane and Greg have adopted from AALOC after recently losing their first dog Donut. We know that Boone will have the same incredibly full life they shared with Donut and will be loved forever and ever. Thank you Jane and Greg for selecting Boone and sharing your life's journey with him!

APOLLO

Adopted January 27, 2023

This medium-sized pit-bull mix was surrendered when his previous owner was told to find Apollo a new home or she would be evicted. She initially left him with a friend but he was mistreated so she picked him back up and surrendered him to AALOC. When he arrived Apollo was undernourished with his ribs clearly visible. The one part of Apollo though that was always oversized is his heart. He is one of the sweetest dogs ever and Joanna and Josh have given him the opportunity of a lifetime of love and care. We wish you all many, many years of happiness together! Thank you for taking him home!
