MAX

Adopted February 11, 2023

Max was abandoned in his neighborhood when his family moved away but left him and their other cats behind. A good Samaritan worked tirelessly to round up the terrified and hungry cats and brought them to AALOC. This long-haired precocious mackerel tabby has now found his forever home with Miranda. It didn't take long and Max had figured out how to open cabinets, canvas his entire new home and began his love affair with his new owner. Thank you Miranda for taking Max into your heart!

SYLVESTER

Adopted January 15, 2023

Stuffed in a box and left to fend for himself, Sylvester was abandoned by his former owner. The AALOC team named this long-haired black and white cat Sylvester because they knew he was one special feline. It took a while for just the right owners to come along but Sylvester has found his forever home with a sweet couple that has nicknamed him Shamu. After just a couple of days Sylvester was making himself at home. One of his favorite things to do is look at himself in mirrors – he knows he’s a handsome cat! Best wishes for long and happy lives together with Sylvester the cat! Thank you for taking him home!

HARRY

Adopted October 15, 2022

Harry, now Henry, was found on Harbor Blvd. in the middle of the road trying to avoid the traffic as it whizzed past him. Luckily he was rescued by a compassionate woman who brought him to AALOC. The family selected to adopt Harry had the patience Harry will need while he learns basic puppy knowledge. They also had an older dog that needed a friend so the fit couldn't have been better. Thank you so much for taking Harry home

OLIVIA & MICKEY

Adopted September 17, 2022

Julie was looking to adopt a senior cat and she found the perfect black female named Olivia at AALOC. Olivia had been brought to AALOC when she was just a kitten, along with her brother Mickey. Already 12 years old, they both had waited a very long time to find just the right human to take them home. When Julie found about Mickey she decided to adopt him as well. It really takes a very special person to recognize senior cats make great pets and an even more amazing individual to open her heart to both siblings. Thank you Julie for being that person!

We would also like to thank the kennel staff who have loved and cared for Olivia and Mickey for the twelve years they have been sheltered at AALOC. Although being at a humane center is not the same as being in a home, this team has provided Olivia, Mickey and all the other animals at AALOC with the care they would give to one of their own pets. It is so appreciated!
