FONZY

Adopted August 3, 2025

Carlie, a young feline who was in the family way, knew she would be giving birth to her litter of kittens soon. So, she looked for a safe place and found one on the back patio of a home. She delivered her five kittens, two girls and three boys, and then her luck got even better. Carlie and her new family were accepted at AALOC, where they all would be cared for without any concern about finding food or being safe. Named after the Happy Days TV show, the girls are called Shirley and Joanie, and the boys Richie, Chachi and of course, Fonzy! Well Kathleen and David couldn't resist and once they met Fonzy the decision was made: this superstar cat was going to be theirs and brother to Cosmo! As the original Fonzy from the TV would have said: "Whoa!" That's a real Happy Tail!

JELLYBEAN & CADBURY

Adopted August 2, 2025

It was the very worst time to be abandoned: Momma cat Lily was pregnant and ready to give birth. Luckily, she was brought to AALOC and gave birth to her precious litter of four kittens, one male and three females, in the safety of our shelter. Born just before Easter Sunday, the male was named Peter and the females Cadbury, Jellybean and Peep. Each kitten was even sweeter than the next, and sometimes a chance connection is all you need to find a loving forever home. One of the team members at the vet the kittens were taken to for a check-up told her sister about these darling kittens and bingo! Both Jellybean and Cadbury had a new love! We couldn't be happier these two siblings have been adopted together!

STORMY

Adopted June 21, 2025

Homeless is bad enough but homeless and sick is a lot worse. Momma cat Sky, a mackerel tabby, and her babies Haze, Windy, Stormy and Sunny were dumped outside our rescue. Every kitten was sick and needed medical attention in order to live. Luckily AALOC was able to get them the treatment they needed and all of them recovered. Now we have a Happy Tail to report: Stormy has found his one true love! Her name is Frances and she couldn't be more perfect - and we agree! Frances picked Stormy as the new addition to her pet family, joining her other cat Bart. Thank you Frances for being Stormy's "special one!"

BONNIE

Adopted May 31, 2025

Bonnie, a beautiful Siamese mix, was born in June of 2024. This sweet, tail-less kitten was sadly relinquished to a vet's office but found a second chance when AALOC took her in. Bonnie is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, her gentle and loving nature shines through and she enjoys human interaction, particularly head scratches. Recently Bonnie had been diagnosed with a mild heart condition. A cat without a tail and one with a medical issue is often bypassed when people are looking to adopt but James fell in love with Bonnie and overlooked these issues. And it must have been a match made in heaven because once Bonnie arrived at James' house she opened up immediately for pets and exploring her new home. Thank you James for adopting Bonnie, you have a great heart!
