CANDY & JACKSON

Adopted January 19, 2025

Candy and Jackson’s previous owner stopped by the kennel and explained she had lost her apartment and couldn’t find a new one that would take her three dogs. In the meantime, she was living with a friend and was allowed one pet. It was a very hard decision but she surrendered Candy and Jackson to AALOC. Candy and Jackson were definitely a bonded pair and loved to cuddle up together: they couldn't be separated. Blessings to their adopters for taking this cute little pair of fur babies home!

SPENCER

Adopted January 5, 2025

Spencer, a long-haired, all-black cat with a big bushy tail, was rescued by one of the AALOC employees from an area populated with predominantly feral cats. He absolutely did not belong on the street with that group! Spencer belonged in a home with a family and that is exactly what he got! Noel and Kathi gave Spencer a forever home with two other cats, Cosmo and Nova, and lots of love around him. Noel and Kathi completely adore Spencer and we are pretty sure the feeling is mutual. Thank you Noel and Kathi for opening your hearts to Spencer!

GRACE

Adopted December 20, 2024

A local animal volunteer was at a shelter picking up cat food for strays when she saw a woman dumping a dog and her litter of two male and one female puppies. The woman said one of the puppies had tested positive for Parvo. The volunteer knew the dogs would all be euthanized immediately if given to the shelter, so she took them home and AALOC stepped in to help. Because of new medical advances in curing parvo, the litter and mom fully recovered.

Grace was adopted just in time for Christmas and will be spending the holidays getting to know her new forever family. Santa was particularly kind to Grace: in addition to a wonderful set of pet parents, Grace now has a young girl to grow alongside! You can tell by the photo it was love at first sight for both! Thank you for giving Grace the home and love she needed!

SCARLET

Adopted December 16, 2024

Scarlet, a puppy, was being held at a local shelter but was on their kill list. AALOC could not allow this absolutely adorable female pointer mix to be euthanized so a team member picked her up, saving her life.

A foster parent named Kathy was found for Scarlet until a new pet parent adopted Scarlet. We received glowing reports about Scarlet from Kathy: "Scarlet can be shy but she is incredibly cuddly, good with my other small dogs, has plenty of energy and enthusiasm, etc., etc., etc." Guess what! It didn't take too long for Kathy to fall in love and nine days now before Christmas Kathy gave Scarlet the best Christmas gift ever - a forever home. Thank you Kathy for saving this dog's life and for giving her a new one!
